Take Two Studio is a Whangaparāoa-based design studio and creative platform for product designer Taylor Wickman.

With a background in product design, I have always been fascinated by the intersection of functionality, materials, and user experience.

What started as a hobby working with clay quickly grew into a deep passion— a love for the slow, methodical process that ceramics demand. Take Two Studio was born as a creative outlet, a way to reconnect with design and craft in a slower, more deliberate way.

The name Take Two reflects this journey in two ways: a second look into creative practice and a reminder to take two moments of pause during the day. Just as ceramics require patience and mindfulness, the pieces are designed to inspire moments of calm and connection in everyday life.

Each object champions honesty, craftsmanship, and timeless design. With a clean aesthetic that heroes materials and process. My work highlights the natural beauty of clay and materials sourced locally here in New Zealand. Every piece undergoes a meticulous, hands-on process, from initial design to final glaze.

Working in small batches or on custom orders, we create special objects that hold meaning and value—pieces that bring joy, functionality, and a sense of purpose to those who use them.
